Scenic Hills Country Club at the University of West Florida in Pensacola is not your average Florida golf course. We are known for our rolling hills, stately pines lining the fairways, elevation changes and striking views that are unusual for a Florida golf course. The challenging course has been recognized by Pensacola News Journal as one of the top courses to play and was voted 2008, 2009 and 2010 "BEST OF THE BAY" golf course in the Pensacola area
Our secret - Did you know that Scenic Hills Golf Club in Pensacola is still the only Florida Golf Course to host a USGA US Open? Scenic Hills hosted the 1969 US Women's Open, won by World Golf Hall of Fame member Donna Caponi after a furious comeback and a final clutch putt. Her dramatic 5 stroke comeback remains the best final day charge in US Open History.
Since 1958 Scenic Hills Country Club at the University of West Florida has been serving the Pensacola Golfing community – but we have not rested on our laurels. Over the years, the commitment to enhance Pensacola’s best golf experience has remained the highest priority. In 1992, the original Chic Adams layout was updated by former U.S. Open Champion Jerry Pate. A full golf course renovation was completed in 2006, with upgrades including new state-of-the-art Champion Bermuda greens, Tifton 419 Bermuda fairways and tee boxes, rebuilt bunkers, and installation of continuous cart paths. In 2008, Scenic Hills opened a new $3.5M luxurious clubhouse, and is perfect setting for dining and wedding receptions.

Scenic Hills Country Club at the University of West Florida is Pensacola’s premier banquet facility and wedding venue, and is the perfect place to make to that special occasion truly one to remember. Our new expansive ballroom, along with the open air pavilion can accommodate large Pensacola wedding receptions, holiday parties, and formal events.
Caponi's Bar and Grille
 Inside the Scenic Hills Clubhouse, you will find an American style restaurant and sports bar named after the golf legend Donna Caponi. At Caponi's Grill you will find great food and libations.
